MASTERCLASSES & CONSULTANCY
Juliet Harbutt A passion for cheese My knowledge and expertise in food and wine, and in particular cheese, has been gained running the British and New Zealand Cheese Awards, judging at Awards and events around the world plus as a restaurateur in New Zealand, a food retailer in London and while researching for countless articles on food and especially my cheese books. Since 1991 when I sold my share in the wine and cheese shop, Jeroboams, I have been working as a retail consultant, educator, journalist and of course running the Great British Cheese Festival and British Cheese Awards now in their 14th year.
Fanmail & Feedback
"Quite a few years ago I was looking to start a new business. My passion for cheese led me to consider a delicatessen. I contacted Juliet Harbutt for advise. She was, to my surprise (busy lady that she was, still is probably) very willing to give me the benefit of her vast experience. She pointed me away from retail and towards production. Things did not work out quite as I'd hoped and my business went in a totally different direction. Although my chosen business was successful I wish now that I had followed Juliet's advise for that would have given me infinitely more satisfaction. I am truly delighted that the cheese makers of the UK are still thriving and I bet Juliet is too. Good luck to you all!"
"That was definitely the best talk that we have had this year...multiple plaudits and smacking of lips from everyone. Thank you very much" Bob Tait, Witney PROBUS 2010
"I had a splendid, encouraging and inspirational day last Monday. Thank you so much! "

Still leaders in their field, Jeroboams has been trading for 15 years, the Parsons Nose (New Zealand's first deli/café) celebrated its 25th birthday in 2006 and the Great British Cheese Festival is 8 this year! Through my books and publications I have gained a reputation as a leading authority on cheese and am regularly invited on TV and radio. With this experience I have developed a reputation as an amusing, provocative guest speaker, a motivator, and an inspiration to audiences ranging from sales teams to key note speaker at the American Cheese Society Conference.
