A unique opportunity to sample and buy the very best of British & Irish Cheeses.
A new venture this year, this Food from Britain market will feature a cornucopia of regional products.
Featuring non-cheese products from small mostly artisan producers from around Britain.
For the ultimate cheese experience with over 45 fascinating tastings to choose from each highlighting or comparing styles, regions or ages
of cheeses. Most involve the inexact science of matching cheese with
port, wine, cider or beer. Special children's tastings using apple juice are also planned.
The "shepherded" tours of the 750 or more cheeses expected to be entered in this year's Awards give a rare insight into the world of cheese
plus visitors will be able to taste some of the medal winners.
The BCA in partnership with Food from Britain are putting together an extraordinary feast to reflect the depth, quality and individuality of
Britain's finest regional foods to be held in the stunningly
beautiful Orangery in Blenheim Palace. Places are limited to 150 so book as soon as the details are published - this will be a night to remember.
There will be the PLYMOUTH GIN PALACE, a taste of Piccadilly at FORTNUM & MASON and the ENGLISH WINE BAR visitors can join in
with the CHEESE TOSSING, watch cider making at the CIDER MUSEUM, talk wild flowers with the expert or enter the Milking Cow
Competition as part of the NFU Food and Farming Roadshow.Plans are also afoot for a Rare Breed Enclosure, a Book & Cook shop.
A Cottage Garden Centre and Rural Craft Demonstrations.
Make sure you leave time to see Blenheim Palace and wander the grounds
and discover some of the lesser known parts of Oxfordshire with its rolling hills, rich architectural history and Oxford itself, city of
the dreaming spires. See the website for more details www.oxfordshirecotswolds.org
